For Southlake residents, the Engel & Völkers Holiday Home Tour isn’t just an event, it has become a holiday ritual. Returning December 7 from noon to 5 p.m., this beloved tradition invites guests to step inside four stunning residences, each transformed into its own vision of seasonal splendor.
“This year’s event is brighter and bigger than ever before,” says Roxann Taylor of Engel & Völkers Southlake. “All four homes are decorated to the hilt.”
Part of the tour’s enduring charm lies in the fact that no two homes are alike. Each offers a distinctive approach to festive style. Expect everything from timeless, tree-lit elegance to modern minimalism accented with a little sparkle. One home might showcase chic, postmodern interiors punctuated by a single ornate centerpiece, while another might shimmer with ornate abundance, with every mantel, stair rail and windowsill wrapped in ribbons.
It’s impossible to leave the home tour without a few new ideas, like how colorful, mirrored ornaments can bring light to a calm, neutral room, how greenery can frame your mantle without cluttering it or how a simple fir-scented candle can set the holiday mood. Sometimes the lightest touches, like a mercury glass votive or a wisp of juniper, are a reminder that inspiration comes from appreciating beauty, even when it’s not your personal style.
Beyond the beauty, the Holiday Home Tour is rooted in generosity. Proceeds benefit The Gifting Project Southlake, which helps provide holiday gifts for local families in need, and Special Olympics Texas, supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state. Every ticket helps spread a little extra joy, both inside these stunning homes and far beyond them.
Conveniently located within a short drive of one another, the homes each offer a new perspective on what it means to make the season shine. Tickets are $40 per person and include access to all four homes, where guests can enjoy sweet treats and a festive surprise or two - maybe even a visit from Santa himself, if you’re lucky.
