A recent study by GOBankingRates once again confirms what many Texans already know — some of the most affluent communities in the country are right here in the Lone Star State. The 2025 list of the Top 50 Wealthiest Suburbs in the United States evaluated cities and towns with at least 5,000 households, comparing average household income and average home values using the latest Census and Zillow data.
Previously ranked No. 13, Southlake has climbed to No. 7 on this year’s list. Known for its nationally recognized schools, high-end real estate, and family-friendly lifestyle, Southlake continues to attract affluent residents.

Average home value: $1,290,325
University Park holds strong in 6th place. The prestigious enclave , home to Southern Methodist University and some of the most valuable real estate in North Texas, maintained its spot from last year.

Average home value: $2,456,871
Joining the list for the first time, Colleyville enters at No. 47 — a testament to its growing wealth and appeal as a luxury suburb just minutes from both Dallas and Fort Worth.
DFW was the only metro area in Texas on this year's list with three in the top 50. Houston also had two entries, Bellaire and West University Place, which held onto its #3 spot.
