Carl Dean is in the business of building dreams. With over 20 years of experience in real estate and construction, Carl has firsthand knowledge of both sides of the market, working as both a luxury custom home builder and an award-winning investor. Together with his wife Elise and his managing partner Mathew Smith, they’re transforming resident’s homes into stunning pieces of art that anyone would be proud to live in.
Before starting his own business, Carl was a skilled tradesman who worked in every area of the house, from flooring to roofing to tiling and trim carpentry. By the time he made the move to Texas in 2014, he had flipped well over 1,000 homes throughout the nation and was aiming to work on even more. With Elise herself growing up in Southlake and graduating from Carroll ISD, she knew that area residents would respond positively to a boutique homebuilding experience catering specifically to their vision. That’s why Carl and Elise took a leap of faith together and opened Dean & Co. Custom Homes in 2021.
As the principal builder, Carl works directly with clients to design and customize their spaces to their liking. From stunning backsplashes to elegant chandeliers to personalized touches throughout, Carl understands that a home needs to work for the entire family — especially when he and Elise are busy parenting two twins of their own.
