Construction on Shivers Farm, a 40-acre mixed-use project anchored by Whole Foods Market, is expected to begin this month, with a groundbreaking ceremony planned in the coming weeks.
Located north of SH 114 near White Chapel Blvd, the development is expected to include 111,000 square feet of retail, 38,000 square feet of Class A boutique office space, 37 single-family lots and a 3-acre pad approved for hotel, entertainment, or additional retail uses.
Whole Foods Market will serve as the grocery anchor, marking the brand’s first Southlake location and the first major grocery destination north of SH 114.
The plans also call for a nearly one-acre park built around existing heritage live oak trees, with restaurants and outdoor seating surrounding the space. Public art and additional gathering areas are also planned throughout the property.
Trademark Property Company, which is developing Shivers Farm with Harrison Street Asset Management, says three leases totaling more than 40,000 square feet have already been signed, with additional retailers and restaurants in active negotiations.
“Shivers Farm is a significant opportunity that reflects both the history and future of Southlake,” said Blake Bickmore, vice president of development at Trademark Property Company.
The project is expected to bring a new mix of shopping, dining, office space and public gathering areas to the community as construction gets underway this fall.
