After more than a decade away, Crate & Barrel is making a highly anticipated return to Southlake Town Square.
Southlake Mayor Shawn McCaskill shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), announcing that “Southlake Town Square will be welcoming Crate & Barrel Home Store to the former location of Market by Macy’s in the summer of 2026!”
The upcoming store will occupy the spacious 19,000 sq. ft. storefront recently vacated by Market by Macy’s, marking a major retail comeback for the brand that once called Southlake home. The original Crate & Barrel in Town Square, which was located in the space Tyler's now occupies, closed in 2011, when company officials said they were phasing out smaller locations to focus on larger-format stores.
Founded in Chicago in 1962, Crate & Barrel has become a global destination for contemporary furniture, housewares and décor that blend modern design with everyday functionality. Known for its clean lines, timeless aesthetic and commitment to quality craftsmanship, the brand has long been a favorite among homeowners and design enthusiasts alike.
With its return to Southlake, Crate & Barrel's estimated $3 million renovation is poised to bring a fresh, elevated shopping experience to Town Square — just in time for summer 2026.
