When not living through a pandemic, Amazon’s Prime Day usually occurs in July. But this year, due to COVID-19, the online retailer pushed back its annual sale, and now it’s just around the corner. From October 13-14, Amazon Prime members can save on hundreds of items from different tech gadgets to stocking up on winter clothing essentials. So whether you are part of the 54% of people shopping for gifts, according to Numerator.com, or splurging on something for yourself, the time to shop is during Amazon’s Prime Day.
You Can Shop Deals Now
Even though Prime Day is technically from October13-14, there are products already on sale this year. Tech products like the Shark Robot Vacuum and a Samsung Tablet are on sale while you can stock up on anything your kiddos may need for school or upgrade your TV for a newer model. Prime members can also shop Amazon tech products like the Kindle or Alexa before Prime Day officially gets underway.
Use AmazonSmile To Give Back
No matter how much you plan to spend, you can give back while doing so. AmazonSmile is an initiative of Amazon’s that allows shoppers to donate 0.5% of their eligible purchases to the charity of their choice. Giving back while shopping is as easy as going to Smile.Amazon.com instead of Amazon.com. Through AmazonSmile, you can also buy and donate products for charities in need. With over 1 million charities part of AmazonSmile, you’re sure to find the perfect organization to give back to.
Download the Amazon App
Even the busybodies can get into Prime Day this year. Whether you’re working full-time or spending the day wrangling kiddos, Amazon makes keeping track of all its great deals easy. All it takes is the Amazon App, with which you can set notifications for different items. If you’ve been waiting for the Roomba robot vacuum to go on sale or need a discount on clothing for the kiddos, these notifications will ensure a deal will never pass you by.
Shop Small To Get Money Back
With just a few more days before Prime Day begins, if you shop small now, you can get money back. Amazon is giving $10 back to you for every $10 you spend on certain products from small businesses. You can even narrow down the small businesses you want to support — you can browse through a list of Black-owned businesses or see different small businesses in the Southwest.
Enter The Amazon Sweepstakes
Seeing all the different Prime Day deals is fun by itself. But this year, you can also enter a sweepstakes to win one of three $1,000 Amazon gift cards. All it takes to enter is to download the Amazon Photos App, take a photo of how Prime delivers joy in your life and then share it on social media and tagging Amazon Photos. The sweepstakes will run until midnight on October 14 so get ready to take a pic and potentially win a $1,000 gift card.
