Halloween 2020 looks a little different than normal, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the day with your family. Here are a few different ways to celebrate on October 31 around Southlake.
A Donkey Halloween
Two words: dressed donkeys. Make your advanced reservation with Loving Long Ears Donkey Therapy & Sanctuary to enjoy A Donkey Halloween, a Southlake experience for the whole family. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, guests can take pictures with the donkeys in their costumes while safely trick-or-treating around the arena. There are different time slots throughout the day, so be sure to clarify in your email reservation to LovingLongEars@yahoo.com which session your family would like to attend.
Dove Church Trick Or Treat
For a safe alternative to trick-or-treating, head over to Dove Church’s Trunk or Treat from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday! The day’s event will include sweets, games, a petting zoo, costumes, inflatable slides and so much more. Just be sure that your kiddos come in their spookiest outfits!
Family Drive-In Movie Night
For a free event that will entertain the whole crew, head over to 121 Community Church on Saturday night for a Family Drive-In Movie Night. Attendees will be able to drive up and watch “The Great Pumpkin” at 6:30 p.m. and “Monsters, Inc.” at 7:30 p.m., all from the comfort of their own cars. Need another reason to get excited? There will also be plenty of free popcorn and candy for everyone! Now you won’t have to steal from your kids’ stashes.
Feed The Pumpkins Food Drive
Teach your kids the value of giving back by participating in Park Village’s Feed the Pumpkin Food Drive. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., guests are invited to bring out non-perishable food donation items that will benefit the North Texas Food Bank. Donations can be dropped off in the pumpkin-shaped bins located throughout the shopping center.
Gymb-O-Ween Block Party
Need to entertain your kids under 10 this weekend? Head over to the sanitary yet spooktacular Gymb-O-Ween Block Party. Guests will make keepsake artwork, participate in a science experiment, hunt for toys and act out stories. Plus, all children under six are also invited to participate in a Halloween-themed Gymboree class. Entrance times are scheduled for 12:30, 2:15 and 4 p.m.
Scare In The Air
From now until November 1, Urban Air Adventure Park is hosting its annual Scare in the Air event. Bouncers can enjoy color splash lighting to help set the holiday mood while listening to kid-friendly Halloween songs. They can also participate in Trick-or-Treat Bingo to receive a bag of treats and a chance to win a spooky raffle. Urban Air will also host an in-park scavenger hunt with 10 different check-off items. So get ready to watch your kids bounce off the walls, in the best way possible.
Sweet & Spooky Costume Showcase
Get ready to show off your kids’ costumes at Sweet & Sassy’s Sweet & Spooky Costume Showcase. From 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, kids can come in costume and get a spooky makeover before participating in a series of themed games.
Trick Or Treat At The Market
For Halloween morning fun, head over to the Keller Farmers Market to enjoy Trick or Treat at the Market. From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., guests can trick-or-treat by visiting the day’s vendor booths. This is the last day of the year for the Keller Farmers Market, which is another great reason for why you should stop by.
Trick Or Treat On The Course
You won’t have to worry about having enough space at Timarron Country Club’s Trick or Treat on the Course. Families are invited to come out from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday to play games, win prizes and enjoy plenty of treats. It’s a great way to fill up on candy without having to travel from house to house.
Trick ’R Treat Trains
The fun keeps chugging along at Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s Trick ’R Treat Trains. This Saturday, guests can celebrate Halloween by climbing aboard and enjoying a prepackaged bag of treats, a Halloween storybook reading and an interactive game. Tickets are non-refundable, so be sure to pick the departure time that works best with your schedule.
