Texas is known for bringing the heat, but this is getting ridiculous. With 100-degree weather lasting since June 11, Texas is quickly on track to have the most 100-degree days since 2012 — possibly becoming the second-hottest summer behind 2011, according to The Weather Channel. If you're looking to beat the triple-digit heat, we triple-dog-dare you to try and stay cool through these methods.
Go To A Local Pool Or Waterpark
A fun day at the pool or waterpark is a great way to spend time with friends and family while keeping yourself refreshed. Thankfully, there are several local water attractions at your disposal. Whether you dive into the aquatic center at Champions Club at the Marq or Carroll ISD or splash into the water park at the Gaylord Texan's Paradise Springs or NRH20, you have several options to cool off in the water.
Stay Indoors
For most, it's easiest to just stay inside during the day: especially during the hottest hours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can catch up on some reading at the Southlake Public Library, have a summer shopping spree at the Grapevine Mills Mall, build your own adventure at the Legoland Discovery Center or check out some amazing underwater creatures at the Sea Life Aquarium.
Have A Spa Day
Treat yourself to some "me" time by dipping your toes into some cold water for a relaxing spa day. Make your way down to some local spas like Corinthian Wellness Spa or Spa Habitat to dip into a nice bath, get a massage, put a cooling mask on your face and be treated like royalty as you are relaxed, refreshed and revitalized.
