Stars and Stripes made its triumphant return to town square this July, and Southlake couldn’t be happier for it. Besides welcoming the patriotic event back in person last month, Southlake is also looking forward to new restaurants coming to the area this fall.
1. Southlake’s Stars And Stripes Returns
After last year’s event was modified thanks to COVID-19, Southlake’s Stars and Stripes came back better than ever this year. On Saturday, July 3, residents gathered at Frank Edgar Cornish, IV Park, McPherson Park and Rustin Pavilion to participate in Independence Day festivities. They enjoyed refreshments from local vendors, listened to live performances and celebrated Independence Day together as the fireworks launched at 9:30 p.m.
2. Five Local Restaurants Participating In DFW Restaurant Week 2021
Southlake is really excited for DFW Restaurant Week this year, especially with five local restaurants involved. Starting on August 9, residents can enjoy cuisine from Del Frisco’s Grille, Kirby’s Prime Steakhouse, Moxie’s, Next Bistro or Mac’s On Main and benefit the North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope at the same time. Two- to three-course lunches and dinners will be offered at each restaurant and run between $19 and $49.
3. A Game-Changing Golf Car
Both avid golfers and green drivers love scooting around on golf courses, and the Garia SuperSport helps golfers do that with more ease. Dubbed a golf car, not a cart, this sleek model is street legal and can take you anywhere on or off the golf course. Perhaps that’s why July’s luxe review was so popular with our readers last month. After all, wherever you go, you’ve got to do it in style.
4. Toasted Yolk Cafe Opening In Southlake
A new brunch spot is opening in Southlake later this fall. First established in Conroe, Texas, the Toasted Yolk Cafe has opened over 20 locations in Houston before setting its eyes on North Texas. According to a media release, the new restaurant will be located at 2800 E. Southlake Blvd. and will feature an assortment of breakfast and lunch options such as buttermilk pancakes, French toast and shrimp and grits.
5. Trophy Table Opens In Former Bread Winners Location
While this news was originally reported on in April, readers came back to read up on the Trophy Table because it opened up over the summer. After Bread Winners closed permanently in Trophy Club last year, Tipsy Oak owners Kevin and Julia von Ehrenfried brought a new concept to the area that offers a variety of classics such as lobster Mac and cheese, jalapeño burger, southern fried chicken sandwich and more. The Trophy Table is currently open at 3000 TX-114.
