The new additionbris connected to the hospital via the family waiting area, which was enlargedbrand updated with new furnishings, a flat screen television, concierge desk,brdisplay case, and a private consult room. As part of the expansion, the hospital'sbrtechnology was upgraded to enhance patient care monitoring and an electronicbrtracking board in the family waiting area displays patient status.
Citing the needbrto meet demand for healthcare services from Southlake and surroundingbrcommunities, hospital President Traci Bernard says the expansion not only addedbrmuch needed space, but creates better efficiencies and a high-quality patient,brphysician and employee experience.

Texas HealthbrSouthlake offers 17 specialties through its 300+ on-staff physicians rangingbrfrom neurosurgery and orthopedics to general surgery, ENT, podiatry andbrgynecology. As a surgical hospital, most procedures done are outpatient, butbrthe hospital is also equipped with 23 inpatient/observation suites, along withbrsix operating rooms, a pain management suite and an emergency room open 24/7.
