Texas Health HarrisbrMethodist Hospital Southlake expanded its services through the addition of abrnew physical therapy center. Located in Bedford at 2419 Highway 121, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake Physical Therapy Center, managedbrby Greater Therapy Centers, provides outpatient physical and occupational/handbrtherapy for individuals suffering from pain or injury.
“Services provided at thebrnew physical therapy center allow Texas Health Southlake to better accommodatebrthe needs of the community. Since any physician can refer patients to thebrcenter, the facility provides a final step on the road to recovery for manybrindividuals who need additional assistance outside of our hospital doors,”brsaid Traci Bernard, R.N., president of Texas Health Southlake, via pressbrrelease.
The 6,500-square-footbrlocation houses specific equipment for outpatient physical therapy due tobrsports injuries, work injuries, sprains and strains, as well as all orthopedicbrinjuries of the back and neck, knees, shoulders, elbows, hand and wrist, footbrand ankle, and hip. Six onsite physical therapists provide personalized carebrand treatment, whether patients suffer from minor ailments or significantbrinjuries.
Leading the team ofbrphysical therapists, Michael Connors, DPT, serves as the center supervisor. Connorsbrholds a Master of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University and abrpost-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University. He isbrcurrently completing a doctorate degree in physical therapy with an emphasis inbrapplied biomechanics from Texas Woman's University. Additionally, Connors is abrboard certified specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy from the AmericanbrBoard of PT Specialties and is President of the Texas Physical TherapybrAssociation.
With experiences workingbrwith patients of all ages and physical abilities, the therapists at TexasbrHealth Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake Physical Therapy Center applybrprofessional techniques and utilize state-of-the-art tools to ensure thatbrpatients recover function and receive relief from pain as quickly andbrefficiently as possible.
