From fun runs to concerts, these are the events that should be on your calendar this month.
March 5-6 | AT&T Stadium
Decorated country music legends and husbandand-wife duo Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are coming to the American Rodeo. The multi-platinum Grammy Award and the Academy of Country Music Award winners are headlining this Western-focused weekend where they will perform a live concert before the final round on Championship Sunday. Come for the weekend where top professional rodeo athletes and hardworking cowboys and cowgirls will compete for $100,000 and the title of the best in the world.
March 12 | Dos Equis Pavilion
Originally from Huntsville, Texas, Cody Johnson is a country boy through and through. This cowboy hatclad former rodeo star self-released six albums before making it big with his first major record “Ain’t Nothin’ To It” in 2019. Now he is back with a new album, “Human The Double Album,” more than 2 billion streams and a new tour to further take the country music world by storm. Sing along to hits like “On My Way To You,” “Nothin’ On You,” “With You I Am,” “Til You Can’t” and “By Your Grace.”
March 12 | Dallas
Feeling lucky? Dress in your favorite green running gear for the St. Paddy’s Day Dash down Greenville Avenue in the timed 5K race. Runners get free themed shirts, a Yuengling flight of beer for those 21 and over, Beyond Meat food, a chance to compete in the spirit tutu or donut hole eating contests and entry to the afterparty with DJ Dame. Your ticket also supports local charity partners like the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the Animal Crusaders of Texas. It’s almost as much fun as finding a pot of gold.

Kilt-wearing men play bagpipes, women sport green hair and Irish pride is on full display at the Dallas Mavs St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival! The green beer flows and smiles are abound at this legendary event. The Greenville Avenue Area Business Association has been putting on this beloved St. Patty’s Day Parade for 41 years. After the parade, stay for the block party and concert, which includes food trucks, exhibitor booths and activities for the whole family.
March 13 | American Airlines Center
With hit singles under her belt such as “New Rules,” “Last Dance” and “Be The One,” Dua Lipa is iconic for taking elements of synth and pop and deftly blending them into her own unique style of alternative music. March 18 | Pavilion At Toyota Music Factory
Have you ever headbanged so hard it made your neck hurt? Or screamed at the top of your lungs while jumping around playing air guitar? Or got “Breaking The Law” stuck in your head so long you didn’t know if it would ever stop? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then stop by Judas Priest’s “50 Metal Years” tour at the Toyota Music Factory. The Grammy Award-winning English heavy metal band will perform hits like “Living After Midnight, “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’” and “Painkiller.”

Twinkling lights glow brighter than stars at the magical Sky Lantern Festival. Hosted by Lights Over America, this stunning event brings the community together to release thousands of lanterns into the night sky. The event also includes s’mores around a fire pit, music and a chance to release wishes and dreams into the universe while watching your lanterns gently float away. March 18-20 | Bass Hall
For over 40 years, the curly-haired musician has influenced an entire genre of music known as smooth jazz. Now he returns to Bass Hall with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra to perform some of his greatest hits. Whether it’s “Havana,” “Forever In Love” and “My Heart Will Go On,” you’ll love reliving the smooth, serene sounds of Kenny G.
March 20 | Keller
The only thing more exciting than spotting a double rainbow or finding a four-leaf clover this St. Patrick’s Day is winning a finisher’s medal at the festive St. Patrick’s Day Triathlon. Inside the Keller Natatorium, participants will swim 300 meters in the indoor pool, then bike 12.8 miles on a two-loop course. The event also includes a 5K run in the pretty wooded trail behind the building. Afterward, runners will revel in the glow of their accomplishments and enjoy a free race shirt and medal at the after-party.
March 25 | American Airlines Center
You’ve seen him on TV, Netflix and “Saturday Night Live.” Now you can see John Mulaney live when he comes to the American Airlines Center this month. This Emmy Award-winning stand-up comedian has been gifting people with his unique characters and jokes for several years. From creating Bill Hader’s character Stefon on “Saturday Night Live” to voicing Andrew on Netflix’s “Big Mouth” to releasing five funny specials, Mulaney is a truly talented entertainer that will keep the laughs rolling all night long.
March 25-April 4 | Wyly Theatre
Clothes made from curtains, siblings singing together and a former nun and naval officer falling in love — these are a few of our favorite things! The Dallas Theater Center is performing one of the most beloved musicals of all time, “The Sound Of Music!” This Rodgers and Hammerstein five-time Tony Award-winner tells the story of Maria, who serves as governess to the seven children of the von Trapp family and brings joy and music to the strict Captain von Trapp’s household. When fascism takes hold of Austria, the entire family must decide what’s right, even if it means sacrificing everything they’ve ever known.
March 26 | Fair Park
Is there anything better than cold craft beer on a warm spring evening? See for yourself at the 10th annual Big Texas Beer Fest, where more than 100 breweries serve 500-plus beers, ciders, hard seltzers, meads and even more inside the Fair Park Automobile Building. Known as the original beer fest in Dallas, this event also hosts delicious food trucks, a vintage arcade, live music, local vendors and exclusive beer that you can’t find on store shelves. For more than 90 years, the Harlem Globetrotters have shown just how much fun basketball can be. They have entertained more than 148 million fans in 123 countries and territories, popularizing the slam dunk, the fast break, the forward and point guard positions and the figure-eight weave. In 2010, the Globetrotters introduced the first 4-point shot, located 30 feet from the basket, which was almost 7 feet beyond the 3-point arc in the NBA.
