No matter what you find fun, there is sure to be an event going on during the month that you’ll enjoy. Whether it’s going to see a show or taking part in a fun run, February is sure to be a blast.
Celine Dion
Feb. 3 | American Airlines Center
Celine Dion calmly stands in a tight, shimmery red dress with flames bursting behind her. This stunning picture — captured on the cover of her latest release, “Courage” — represents Queen Celine perfectly. As her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart in 17 years, “Courage” contains power ballads and up-tempo tracks about lost love, hope and strength. Hear it for yourself when this Oscar-and Grammy-winning pop artist stops by Dallas during her world tour. Coming off a 16-year Las Vegas residency, this iconic musician is ready to sing about “Falling in Love Again,” “Imperfections” and “Flying on My Own” with a fantastic new show.
Miranda Lambert
Feb. 8 | American Airlines Center
She’s a pink guitar, muddy boots and rhinestone-covered everything. She’s bubbly white wine and a straight shot of whiskey. She’s fun, light-hearted country, emotional lyrics and get-back-at-men power anthems. Miranda Lambert is the perfect mix of Southern belle and unpredictable wildcard — and we absolutely love her for it! Help welcome this Texan back home when she comes to American Airlines Center to perform hits from “Wildcard,” her seventh No. 1 album. You’ll love her energetic hits like “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” “Way Too Pretty for Prison” and “Bluebird.”
The Band’s Visit
Feb. 4-23 | Winspear Opera House
What happens when musicians end up in the middle of nowhere on their way to a performance? The new musical, “The Band’s Visit,” plays on this interesting concept when an Egyptian band suddenly arrives in the Israeli desert, bringing life, excitement and beautiful music to this sleepy town. This eclectic musical is the winner of 10 Tony Awards (including Best Musical) and a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album, thanks to the exceptional on-stage musicians. See “The Band’s Visit” this month and remember, you never know who you’ll meet that will change your life forever.
Saint Valentine’s Luncheon and Fashion Show
Feb. 5 | Meyerson Symphony Center
Groovy pink-flowered dresses, elegant floor-length gowns and red-leather pants are just some of the things you might see at the Saint Valentine’s Day Luncheon and Fashion Show. This fun annual event showcases the latest spring fashion trends from NorthPark Center and raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It’s the perfect way to celebrate your love of fabulous clothes while supporting a worthy organization that works to find cures for blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients.
Harvey
Feb. 6-23 | Watertower Theatre
A six-foot, three-and-one-half-inch rabbit does not make for a very good friend. Unless your name is Elwood P. Dowd, of course, who loves telling everyone about his strange, invisible friend named Harvey — much to the mortification of his socialite sister, Veta. But when she tries to commit him to a psychiatric hospital, Harvey intervenes, helping Veta realize she loves her brother just the way he is (and the huge rabbit isn’t so bad either). Follow along with this funny, uplifting play when “Harvey” opens at WaterTower Theatre this month.
Hot Chocolate 15K/5K
Feb. 8 | Dallas
Chocolate, cocoa, little bits of heaven — no matter what you call it, it’s known to be sweet! That’s why there will be 4,000 pounds of it available at the Hot Chocolate 15K/5K! Bundle up and run the course of your choosing, stopping by the delicious stations along the way to refuel with delightful treats. At the end, you can gulp down a steaming hot mug of cocoa, munch on chocolate bars and show off your chocolate-themed finisher’s medal and fleece-lined hoodie. The sweetest part of this event is that it gives back to Make-A-Wish, which grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.
Sweetheart Wine Trail
Feb. 8 | Historic Downtown Grapevine
Sipping on sweet white wine. Taking a stroll on a beautiful winter’s day. Cuddling up close inside a charming winery. It’s the perfect date night! Granger Smith
Feb. 15 | Billy Bob’s
From the Texas tattoo on his arm to his admiration of George Strait and twangy country sound, Granger Smith is a proud Texas boy — and true Southern gentleman! After suffering a horrible tragedy last summer when his son drowned, this Dallas-native is finding healing through music and touring once again. His fans (known as the Yee Yee Nation) are excited to welcome him back, where he will be performing songs from his nine studio albums as well as recent singles, such as “Damn Strait,” “Holler” and “That’s Why I Love Dirt Roads.”
Sweetheart Shuffle
Feb. 15 | Grand Prairie
Heart-shaped cards and chocolates are great, but this Valentine’s Day, consider giving your love the gift of running in the Sweetheart Shuffle instead! This romantic race is a fun bonding activity, where you dress up in red and pink and complete a 5K or 10K course together. Afterward, one person can get the heart finisher's medal and the other will get the key that fits perfectly inside. Afterward, fill up on tasty food (and even chocolate) at the after-party.

Join SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward and the rest of the gang in a hilarious adventure that will keep everyone on the edge of their seats.
Alan Jackson
Feb. 22 | Dickies Arena
Nobody does country music like Alan Jackson. For 30 years, this music legend has entertained and inspired audiences with hits like “Chattahoochee,” “Here in the Real World,” “Gone Country” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.” His career highlights include selling over 60 million albums worldwide, ranking as a top 10 best-selling solo artist of all time in any genre and releasing 50 top 10 hits. But this Country Music Hall of Famer doesn’t care about the glimmer of fame. He loves expressing himself through songwriting, making music and connecting with people through his classic country songs. Sing along to all your favorite songs when he comes to town this month.
Mardi Gras Mad-Dash
Feb. 22 | Fort Worth
Beads, king’s cake and colorful costumes make the Mardi Gras Mad-Dash a fun time for all! This family-friendly event is similar to the famed Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans — where people celebrate with sweets, dancing and music before Lent begins. Run a 5K, 10K or half-marathon course, then enjoy kids’ games, activities, food, a costume contest and plenty of swag to take home. Mardi Gras Mad-Dash benefits Sankofa Mentoring Matters, an organization that supports youth as they journey to adulthood. You can help by bringing school supplies to help those in need. Let the good times roll — all the way to the finish line!
