Who is eligible to make Southlake Style's Top Docs list?
Top Docs is a peer-based recognition program. Licensed physicians practicing in Southlake and the surrounding DFW area are encouraged to nominate physicians who they would trust for their own medical care.
How are nominations obtained?
We take a multifaceted approach in reaching out to area hospitals, medical groups and local physicians encouraging them to take Southlake Style's Top Docs survey. Our email contact database is large and growing, but not comprehensive. To ensure all physicians receive our survey, please call our office at 817.416.4500 or share this survey link with the physicians in your network.
What information is required to make a nomination?
Doctors are required to provide a valid, active medical degree, license number and basic contact information. Physicians must also be in good standing with the Texas Medical Board. The final results are aggregated, so doctors' nominations remain confidential.
What happens once nominations are received?
We review each individual survey to ensure fairness, isolating and potentially eliminating invalid nominations. The final list is tallied based on the most frequently nominated doctors.
How are the practice areas determined?
Although the specialties are broad, they are intended to reflect relevant practice areas in the region. We recognize there are many specialty areas, but cannot accommodate them all. If there is a strong and consistent request for additional practice areas, they will be considered for possible inclusion in next year's survey.
What happens after the Top Docs are selected?
Each year we will publish a complete list of all Top Docs in Southlake Style's August print issue reaching over 85,000 readers. In addition, all nominated physicians who choose to market their Top Doc recognition will receive prominent print and digital exposure. Visit our Top Docs Special Section to see past honorees online.
Final Note
We recognize there are many good doctors who may not be shown in this representative list. This is only a sampling of the huge array of talented medical professionals as nominated by their physician peers. If you would like to ensure your physicians receive our survey for consideration in 2025, please send us your physician's directory.
