On Tuesday, the day after the CISD School Board voted to receive and workshop the Culture Competence Action Plan, the Southlake Anti-Racism Coalition held the first in a series of protests at the CISD Administration Building. Wearing masks and holding signs, students, alumni and community members advocated for the CCAP and spoke against racism and discrimination. People came back to protest on Wednesday and a third protest is planned on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 1 to 2 p.m.
