The public works department brought out the big gears during its dump truck storytime on Tuesday afternoon at Southlake Town Square. City employees brought out construction vehicles, gave away hard hats and read from the children’s book “Three Cheers For Kid McGear” while kids played and climbed on the vehicles. About 300 children and parents total came out to the event.
