Southlake Style sadly had to cancel our 2020 Women's Luncheon event due to COVID-19. Our team is hard at work preparing for our 2021 Women's Luncheon — more details to come!
From CEOs to business owners, Southlake Style’s fifth annual Women’s Luncheon will bring all sorts of amazing ladies to the table for an afternoon full of food and fun. Texas Restaurant Association CEO Emily Knight, who was featured in last year’s luncheon as its keynote speaker, will lead the conversation as the day’s moderator. Accompanying her is 2020 keynote speaker Traci Bernard, who has served as the president of Texas Health Southlake for 15 years.
Traci isn’t the only medical professional that will be joining her on the stage — Acclaim Physician Group medical director Stephanie Carson-Henderson will provide her own industry insight. Practicing medicine since 2002, Stepanie specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and cares for several Fort Worth hospitals in the John Peter Smith Health Network.
She isn’t the only Stephanie that’s part of the panel — Carroll ISD’s Stephanie White, the district’s leading school psychologist, will bring her experience to the table, providing perspective on Carroll’s special programs and how to help students overcome obstacles.
Mimi Tran is one woman who certainly understands what it means to face obstacles. The Frost Bank vice president and founder of Me Squared Cancer Foundation, Mimi survived her own battle against cancer and teaches people how to persevere through tough times, which is a lesson we all could be using right about now.
Shonda Schaefer knows about weathering difficulty as GRACE Grapevine’s CEO. Providing food, clothing and financial assistance to those who need it most, GRACE is an essential staple in the community that provides relief for underprivileged residents in Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake. Shonda leads that $7 million initiative, which operates seven locations and includes more than 60 employees and 5,000 volunteers annually, and she has a thing or two to teach about organization.
Finally, Elizabeth Huffman will provide perspective on running your own business and keeping positivity pumping within the community, all while homeschooling her children. Her husband John serves on the Southlake city council, and together they run the Black Door Renovation company, which operates out of two offices in Southlake and Dallas. She knows what it means to build your dream home and loves working on large-scale projects. But she also uses her connections to spotlight others with social media initiatives.
You can catch these amazing women during the fifth annual Women’s Luncheon from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 16. Tickets go live on September 4, so don’t forget to purchase yours at 817Tix.com. While it’s our goal to gather with you in person, we want to provide our attendees an option for how they’d like to be a part of our event and will be offering ticket options for both in-person and virtual attendance. Our top priority is the health and safety of our attendees, partners and staff and for everyone to have a choice on how they’d like to join us. Stay tuned for information about a virtual option!
