One night a year, all crime is legal. Will the Sandin family make it through the purge?
This weekend, head out to Harkins Southlake 14 Theatres for laughs and scares with the newest movies to hit the big screen- The Internship and The Purge.
The Internship stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as Billy McMahon and Nick Campbell, two middle-aged salesmen who’ve been booted out of their current jobs due to the advancing technology of the digital age. Against all odds, Billy and Nick land one of the most coveted internships in the world with the search engine giant, Google. They soon learn that landing the internship was the easiest part and must compete against brilliant, college-age geniuses to show everyone that old dogs really can learn new tricks.
Also premiering this weekend is the horror-thriller, The Purge. The Purge shows a future picturesque society with minimal unemployment and all-time lows of crime every day of the year except for one. The government chooses this single day, known as “the purge,” to allow for all criminal activity to be legalized and emergency services to be suspended. James Sandin, a wealthy home security developer, and his family prepare for the purge and lock down their seemingly impenetrable fortress for the night.
But when a scared stranger comes banging on the Sandin’s door, begging for shelter, James’s son, Charlie, allows him into their home. Unfortunately, a sinister group after the stranger now has set their sights on the Sandin household. Will the family make it through the night while maintaining their morals or will they give in to the violent chaos of the purge? Head to Harkins Southlake 14 Theatres this weekend to find out!
Both films are best suited for adults so drop children off at the exclusive, in-lobby Harkins PlayCenter, where children are entertained for less than the cost of a movie ticket! For more information about ticket prices and movie times, please visit Harkins Theatres.
