True Performers - June 2013

Jun 19, 2013 02:20PM ● By tina

Cori Williams and Devin Berg are this month's True Performers.

Cori Williams-CISD Teacher

Cori Williams has been part of the Rockenbaugh Elementary teaching team for 15 years. She has dedicated seven years to teaching second-graders and eight years to third-graders. For the 2012-2013 school year, Cori has been honored as Rockenbaugh’s Teacher of the Year. When she's not shaping the lives of young students, you'll find Cori cheering for her son Trae and daughter Trysta at their games. Cori emphasizes her strong family values with movie nights and spending time with her loved ones. Tommy Pennington Realty proudly recognizes Cori as a True Performer in the community.

Devin Berg-Outstanding Student

Devin Berg is a senior at Carroll Senior High School. Devin, who has been in choir and show choir throughout her four years at Carroll, is president of all choirs and section leader of varsity show choir. She has received top ratings (1) at solo/ensemble state competitions for the past three years. You might have heard her sing around town — the national anthem at sporting events, during Sunday morning worship or Wednesday worship at White's Chapel UMC, the Variety Show, and Roanoke Rising Star, to name a few. Devin, who is also a member of National Honor Society, has been offered a scholarship at Belmont University in Nashville, where she will pursue commercial voice in the fall.

True Performers aren't made overnight but rather from dedication, loyalty and hard work. Each month Southlake Style and the Tommy Pennington Realty Group honor the True Performers in our city. Nominate your True Performer by sending an email to us today!
