Feb 24, 2014 11:39AM ● Published by Anonymous

Students and faculty from Rockenbaugh Elementary participated in the Cowntown Marathon Cook Children's 5K on a breezy Saturday.

Last year, 5,000 students from more than 80 schools ran in the annual run. This year, 5,374 runners finished the Cook Children's 5K, according to the Cowntown Marathon results.

Rockenbaugh Elementary Assistant Principal Janet Blackwell and Carroll Elementary P.E. Teacher Tracy Gentry formed a Carroll team to participate both the 5K and 10K run.

Participants received a pedometer, a medallion and a special t-shirt to sport around school.
