Verandas at Southlake
The City of Southlake recently award Adolfson & Peterson Construction a project to build a new community recreation center. The project was confirmed by the city council in favor of selecting the company as the general contractor.
The Southlake Community Recreation Center is a two-story, 105,200-square-foot building, currently in design by Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture. The project will be constructed in two phases. Phase one will include various additions such as a community events hall, senior center and an outdoor amphitheater. Phase two will include a recreation and aquatic center with multiple spaces, including a lobby, indoor playground, gymnasium and outdoor living spaces.
“Having recently completed the new Forest Park Medical Center in Southlake, Adolfson & Peterson Construction is well versed in the city's codes and requirements for new development projects,” says Candice Edmondson, the city of Southlake’s deputy director.
The Southlake Community Recreation Center is currently in preconstruction, with the groundbreaking for phase 1 scheduled for August 2014.

Each home will offer residents expansive bedrooms, luxurious living areas and picturesque outdoor living spaces. Prices will start in the $500,000 range.
Darling Homes chose to build in Southlake because of the unique sense of community that is rarely found in other cities without having to sacrifice modern conveniences, explains Cheryl Turner, vice president of sales and marketing for Darling Homes in Dallas.
