Dr. Jennifer and Ryan Palmer recently received the 2015 Kids Matter Synergy Award, presented annually to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of Kids Matter (KMI) by creating the “Synergy” between a new partner and our charitable organization. The honorees were presented the award during the 2015 Kids Matter Charity Ball held at the Hilton Dallas/Southlake Hotel Feb. 20.
Kids Matter International is a Texas-based not-for-profit 501(c)(3) that has been helping children since 2006. With the support of volunteers, corporate partners and generous donations to Kids Matter, they have clothed, fed, educated and enhanced the lives of thousands of children and their families.
Examples of these important supporting partners include Ryan and Jennifer Palmer and the Ryan Palmer Foundation. After being presented as the newest Synergy Award honorees, Ryan stated, “We want to say [...] thank you, thank you, thank you. Jennifer and I are so overwhelmed and very grateful [to receive this award]. We have loved every minute being involved with Kids Matter. We love every day getting to help and give back to kids.”
Ryan and Jennifer Palmer and the Ryan Palmer Foundation have been catalysts in growing programs in the Kids Matter organization, from the Around the Block programs in North Texas to the Literacy Events in 11 states, this power couple has donated over 24,000 backpacks to children throughout the years. Ryan and Jennifer have not only provided young children with the right tools for a bright future in education, but they also donate their time at these events as a family.
Jennifer and Ryan, who reside in Colleyville with their two young children, started the Ryan Palmer Foundation in 2004, a 501 (c)(3) Texas non-profit organization. The mission of the Ryan Palmer Foundation is to promote community involvement and constant focus on the health and education of today's young people and their opportunity to succeed.
“All we want from the foundation is to give back and to create opportunities for young people like we have had throughout our life,” says Ryan. “It's my opportunity to give back to children.”
