Southlake City Hall was in good hands on June 12, 2015, when Carroll Elementary student Sophie Seth Spurlock served as "Mayor for the Day."

Mayor Laura Hill graciously bestowed upon Ms. Spurlock her duties for the day as Ms. Spurlock met with city council members, toured City Hall, and had lunch with Mayor Hill.

Sophie was awarded a Proclamation, declaring June 12, 2015, to be "Sophie Seth Spurlock Day." Sophie Spurlock, who will be entering first grade, won the opportunity to be "Mayor for the Day" through Carroll Elementary's annual auction benefitting the school.

Ms. Spurlock is delighted that Mayor Hill was recently elected Southlake's first female mayor. Also in attendance were Sophie’s parents, Mark Spurlock and Devika Seth.
