Spring Signing Day 2016 saw 19 Carroll student-athletes accept college scholarships.
Once again crowds of family and friends lined the halls ofbrCarroll Senior High School to applaud the accomplishments of Dragonbrstudent-athletes as they signed their letters of intent. In all, 19 Dragonsbracross seven sports made their college dreams come true at this highlybranticipated event.

“It's an incredible celebration,” said Southlake CarrollbrAthletic Director Darren Allman, “There are a lot of victories throughout thebryear both academically and athletically at Carroll. Today we're here tobrcelebrate the careers of 19 student athletes.”
Perhaps no coach was more excited this morning than JustinbrLeonard. With eight signees this morning and eleven total for the 2015-16brschool year, his cross-country team dominated the gathering.
“I'm really happy for the senior class,” said Leonard,br“They've accomplished a lot of team goals and ultimately their individual goalsbrby signing their scholarships this morning. I couldn't be happier for the kidsbrand their parents as they see their hard work pay off.”
When these young runners step onto campuses like thebrUniversity of Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Syracuse University, they will bringbrtheir new coaches a special kind of talent. “Carroll runners are dedicatedbrathletes who are focused on the team atmosphere, which is really unique in whatbris considered an individual sport,” explains Leonard.
In total, the Southlake Carroll class of 2016 will send anbrimpressive 49 student athletes into the collegiate ranks. To this fact CSHS Principal Shawn Duhonbrstated, “It's a testament to the hard work that our kids put forth to succeed.”
