Miracle League ofbrSouthlake is kicking off a new venture: The organization is working with Cooperstown Dreams Park to bring the magic of baseball to Southlake. And, thebrorganization also wants to send players to play on the beautiful fields inbrCooperstown, New York.
John Slocum and MichelebrCiccone talked with Southlake Styleabout the project. “For children who love baseball, playing at CooperstownbrDreams Park is the opportunity of a lifetime,” says Slocum.
For approximately 13 weeks every summer,brthe baseball tournament facility in New York comes alive with all thebrexcitement of the game. Players age 12 on May 1 of the respective year spend a week learning,brpracticing and playing baseball. Thousands of teams apply for the opportunitybrto play in Cooperstown, and approximately 1,300 are selected. Slocum, in conjunction with a team from the Southlake Baseball Association, hopes to send two players from Miracle League of Southlake in summer 2017.
