Wordsbrhave the power to change the world, and even though our cities are saturatedbrwith iPhones, iPads and constant digital stimulation, nothing beats going backbrto the basics. On September 16, 2016, the American Library Association (ALA) isbrhosting Keller Reads, a program designed to promote literacy among youths andbradults.

Thebrevent will begin at 2 p.m. at the Keller Public Library where Mitchard willbrpresent her work, answer some questions and then autograph people's books, freebrof charge. Then, at 6 p.m., enjoy a ticketed dinner event at Sky Creek Ranch GolfbrClub that will also include a meet-and-greet with Mitchard, an extended authorbrpresentation, Q&A and a book signing.
