Fill Your Glasses At Grapefest

Aug 31, 2018 10:21AM ● By Ashley Madonna

Red, white, pink, bubbly — the 32nd annual Grapefest has it all! The city of Grapevine is known as the headquarters of the Texas wine industry, which is why this celebration draws crowds from all over to enjoy delicious vino, tasty food, live entertainment and plenty of family fun. Let’s start with the main attraction: There are five main wine areas at the festival for you to enjoy. The People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic is the largest consumer-judged wine competition in the country, where you can sip on some of the best Texan wines. The Champagne Terrace is the place to hang out with friends and celebrate with sparkling wine or champagne. Head over to the Grapevine Wine Pavilions to enjoy special drinks from Grapevine wineries. At the Liberty Park Plaza Wine Experience, taste unique drinks from wineries in California and Spain. Finally, find the Premium Wine Pavilion to find high-quality wines from around the world.

Wash down the wine with your choice of sweet or savory fair food. Classic options like roasted corn, funnel cakes and caramel apples will be available as well as a variety of unique selections such as fajitas, lamb gyros, chicken on a baguette, fried catfish basket, steak on a stake, wood-fired pizza and berry kabobs. Although little ones won’t be able to enjoy the fruit of the vine, they can still have a wonderful time at Grapefest. Take them for a whirl at one of the many carnival rides and cheer them on during the games on the Midway. In between activities, the entire family can head over to the Grapevine Mills Main Stage, the Gazebo Stage or the Palace Stage to enjoy live music from tribute bands, original acts and musicians from around the world. There’s no denying it: Grapefest will leave a delightfully sweet taste in your mouth — and you won’t be able to resist coming back every year!
