Media Account Executive

Southlake Style magazine is looking for the next smart, energetic and positive member of our fast-paced media sales team! In addition to a smiling face, those wanting to join our award-winning media company must be highly organized, goal-oriented achievers looking for their next big challenge.

Successful Account Executives will be energized by efforts to help local businesses grow while collaborating with in-house creative and content development teams. They will also enjoy listening, strategizing and presenting need-based print, digital and event marketing campaigns for customers of the market-leading publication of the most vibrant suburb in DFW.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and grow a database of new sales prospects.
  • Build strong relationships with local business owners and decision-makers through great customer service and consistent brand representation.
  • Learn, analyze and evolve to understand the competitive marketplace and industry trends.
  • Consult businesses to create customized, multi-platform marketing plans including print, digital and event sponsorships.
  • Execute and communicate weekly sales reporting.
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals.

Requirements:

Training + Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Background + Experience: Passion, drive and achievement in the areas of customer service, sales, marketing and communications.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • A passion for print, digital and event sponsorship marketing and advertising trends.
  • Cold calling, prospecting and negotiating skills.
  • High competency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Maghub, or other CRM.
  • Confidence in speaking to high-level decision-makers & agencies.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $65,000+ year one potential at 100% to sales goal (salary + uncapped commission)

Advertising Coordinator

The Advertising Coordinator is part of the sales and marketing department and reports to the Advertising Services Manager. The position supports the maintenance and growth of customer relationships, ensuring all print,  digital and event advertising materials are received and proofed in a timely manner. This position requires interdepartmental collaboration with sales,  editorial and creative teams to ensure client expectations are exceeded.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build a professional relationship with customers, schedule and coordinate advertising materials and maintain accurate records while adhering to all deadlines.
  • Confidently and professionally communicate all advertising specs, deadlines and production processes to customers and prospects.
  • Administrate all necessary communications ensuring customers’ marketing needs are accurately met in a professional and timely manner.
  • Administrate a database of customers and prospects in which to swiftly disseminate marketing communications and promotions electronically, over the phone, and in person when necessary.
  • Provide customers with monthly and quarterly advertising campaign analytics through platforms: Google Ad Manager/MailChimp.
  • Deliver counter card displays and magazines to ensure all customers and partners are stocked with the most recent issues.
  • Anticipate problems and seek creative solutions to streamline and promote efficiency.

Requirements:

Training + Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Background + Experience: Passion, drive and achievement in the areas of customer service, retail, administration or marketing communications.  Agency, marketing, and media industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized, accountable and attentive to details and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) and ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Proven customer relationship, time-management and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working in customer relationship management (CRM) technology such as Salesforce, Maghub, etc.
  • Experience and comfort with Google Suite, Mailchimp, GAM, social media platforms and analytics.
