Former Texas Rangers catcher and recent Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez announced on Wednesday, June 27, that he will be opening up a pizzeria at Texas Live! in Arlington.
Pudge's Pizza, a 5,000-square foot, family-friendly environment, will dish out a variety of signature pies created by the baseball legend. It will be located on the second level of the complex and will overlook the Live! Arena.
Before Rodriguez was throwing pizza pies, he was catching fastballs for the Rangers. He was regarded as one of the best catchers in the league during his time. He went on to have a full career including a trip to the World Series and a 2017 induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
“I can't wait to debut this new restaurant at the world-class Texas Live! development,” stated Rodríguez via press release. “I look forward to seeing all my fans and sharing a good slice of pizza with my Rangers community at Pudge's Pizza come August."
Rodriguez will not be the only big name to take on the new dining district. Troy Aikman and Guy Fieri will also have locations inside of Texas Live!
