The Carroll Dragons (1-1) quickly shook off a season opening loss, hitting the road again in week two against Tulsa Union (0-1). The newly minted rivalry ended with another thrilling conclusion where the Dragons held tough for an amazing 34-30 victory. Behind strong performances from junior QB Mason Holmes and Dragon Pride Playerof the Week Shemar Coleman, the Dragons' overcame a 16-point halftime deficit for their first win of the season.
Tulsa scored the first thirteen points of the game behind two Tyler Adkins touchdowns before Holmes settled in early in the second quarter, finding Zach Farrar in the back of the end zone for the Dragon’s first TD of the game.
After a field goal and another TD run immediately following a Mason Holmes fumble, Tulsa had created a commanding 23-7 lead at halftime.

Led by junior defenders Robert Barnes, John Miscoll and Barrett Buck, the young Dragon defense stood tall in the second half giving up just one score. The trio accounted for 35 tackles and 10 passes defended.
