The Carroll Dragons (1-1)brquickly shook off a season opening loss, hitting the road again in week twobragainst Tulsa Union (0-1). The newly minted rivalry ended with anotherbrthrilling conclusion where the Dragons held tough for an amazing 34-30 victory.brBehind strong performances from junior QB Mason Holmes and Dragon Pride Playerof the Week Shemar Coleman, the Dragons' overcame a 16-point halftime deficitbrfor their first win of the season.

Tulsa scored the firstbrthirteen points of the game behind two Tyler Adkins touchdowns before Holmesbrsettled in early in the second quarter, finding Zach Farrar in the back of thebrend zone for the Dragon's first TD of the game.
After a field goal andbranother TD run immediately following a Mason Holmes fumble, Tulsa had created abrcommanding 23-7 lead at halftime.
Down, but not out,brWasson's boys strung together four straight scoring drives in the second half.
Holmes, in his firstbrvarsity start, had an impressive performance throwing 26-39 (67%) for 336 yardsbrand two touchdowns. Senior running back Shemar Coleman showed his versatilitybrrunning for a touchdown and catching another before taking a pitch from thebrwildcat formation for his third touchdown of the game. The gutsy call and runbrplay gave the Dragons their first lead of the night, 27-23 with 6:43 left inbrthe game.
Led by junior defendersbrRobert Barnes, John Miscoll and Barrett Buck, the young Dragon defense stoodbrtall in the second half giving up just one score. The trio accounted for 35brtackles and 10 passes defended.
Held in check for abrmajority of the game averaging 3.7 yards on 24 carries, Lil' Jordan Humphreybrcame up big capping a late fourth quarter drive with the game winning run.brHumphrey also caught 5 balls for 89 yards.
