After seeing a job posting from Southlake Style in 2019 that mentioned working with golden retrievers, Kelly Smith-Rose was instantly intrigued. She has two of her own golden girls at home, but it's Rory who often steals the spotlight at the office, faithfully trailing her around in hopes of a treat.
As office manager, Kelly keeps the publication’s finances running smoothly, managing bookkeeping and making sure accounts are up to date. And if you hear a cheerful “Good morning” when calling the Southlake Style office, chances are it’s her warm voice on the other end.
Kelly says the most rewarding part of her role is, “our super nice customers and our events.” Outside the office, she is a passionate volunteer for Spark Ministry and a top fundraiser for Susan G. Komen. Kelly also serves on the board of the Me Squared Cancer Foundation. A 10-year breast cancer survivor herself, Kelly was honored as a 2024 Dallas Cowboys Star Survivor and is a proud recipient of Pat Smith’s Treasure You award for her impactful support and encouragement of fellow breast cancer patients.
When she’s not organizing events, supporting cancer causes, or traveling with her husband Ken, Kelly can be found with two essentials always in her purse: her pink reading glasses and a favorite pink lipstick.
