Art in the Square organizers announced this year's Art in the Square festival is scheduled for April 27-29, 2012 at Southlake Town Square. Recently, Art in the Square has been rated as the Number 8 Fine Arts Festival in the Country by The Art Fair SourceBook. This is a two decade old national publication and guide to the Best Juried Art & Craft Fairs in the United States. They publish to art lovers and buyers, exhibiting artist and art show organizers.
The Art Fair SourceBook each year rates festivals by surveys submitted by exhibiting artists and art show organizers. Ratings determine success based on net average sales. Art in the Square has been rated in the top 100 festivals, and this elite status rating is the highest rating in 12 years.
“To be named by the Sourcebook in the top 10 of art festivals in the nation is such an honor. The Sourcebook is known as the go to publication by artists for information on art festivals. They utilize this information in choosing which shows to apply to,” said Robin Snyder, professional artist/original chair of Art in the Square. “To be ranked in the top 10 is a tribute to the members of Southlake Women's Club on keeping the focus of the event on improving the quality of art and artists each year. While the event has grown to include a little something for everyone, the focus has remained on bringing quality artists and art patrons together. To be listed number 8 in the nation shows we have been very successful at doing just that.”
Art in the Square is a free fine arts festival with over 140 renowned artists with activities for the whole family. Proceeds from the event provide funding for deserving Northeast Tarrant County charities that serve women, children and families. For more event information, please visit www.artinthesquare.com
