Hey, Bachelor Nation. There's a new member of the hit TV show's family you should meet. Bachelor fan-favorite Evan Bass and Grapevine High School alum Carly Waddell welcomed their first child, Isabella Evelyn Bass, on February 15.
Did you know half of one of the show's oddest love stories grew up right here in town? Carly, who first competed on the 19th season of ABC's The Bachelor, grew up in the DFW area. While on the show, she listed Arlington as her hometown city. And even though she now lives in Nashville with her husband, who first competed on Dallas' own JoJo Fletcher's Bachelorette season before going to paradise, we can still claim her as our own.
Many remember the rocky start that these two lovebirds had during the second season of Bachelor in Paradise. But after a few dates and an odd ride to the emergency room, these two fell hard for each other. So much so that they ended up engaged and married quickly after.
And shortly after they tied the knot — on TV of course, the pair announced their pregnancy on a later episode of The Bachelor. Carly even had an ultrasound done on stage to show the audience, and the world, her new bundle of joy.
And now she has officially joined the cast in the Bass family. According to the new mom's Instagram, she weighs six pounds and eight ounces, and has "currently stolen her dad's heart."
Congrats to the happy TV couple who have now become a happy TV family. Who knows, you may see Bella on The Bachelor herself one day. Metroplex contestants always seem to be there for the right reasons.
