Be a light in someone's life by heading out to Run in the Dark. On Saturday, September 22, locals will dart out to Bluestem Park at Alliance Town Center to participate in the Community Storehouse's 19th Annual Run in the Dark 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. More than 3,000 participants ran or walked in last year's race. And this year, Community Storehouse hopes to expand on those numbers. So kids and parents alike are invited to come out and make a difference.
Stick around after crossing the finish line to enjoy music, food trucks and a KidZone entertainment area. And it all will go toward a good cause – the proceeds will help Community Storehouse continue to expand. Their efforts benefit low-income children in Keller, Northwest and Carroll school districts who are struggling academically. And with record registration numbers for their programs and services, the nonprofit needs local support to continue helping and serving these children.
