Excercise Coach
A new coach is coming to town on November 6. The Exercise Coach is a fitness franchise that focuses on personalized training sessions and offers high-tech "Smart Gym" equipment that adjusts workouts in real-time to each client. Co-owner Mike Sims says he and his wife Andrea bought the rights to develop three Exercise Coach studios in the area, but they’re opening the first one in Southlake since they've lived in the area since 2001.
“My wife and I love the idea of helping people,” Mike says. “The Exercise Coach significantly improves folks’ lifestyles. We believe it works, and we believe it helps people. Everything that we were looking for in a small business just sort of came together for us."
Mike says clients achieve optimum results through two 20-minute training sessions per week. As a lifelong gym enthusiast himself, Mike says that when he began researching the Excercise Coach, he was intrigued by the idea that you could get all the strength conditioning you need in just two 20-minute sessions a week. As he learned more, he realized the innovation behind how their exercise equipment is specifically tailored to each client's abilities.
“The machines measure the user’s range of motion,” Mike says. “The machine also measures each individual user's ability to exert force and stores that information as well. Then the next time the client uses the machine, the trainer enters the client's unique PIN, and each custom machine automatically adjusts its settings to reflect that user’s ability. So the machines are actually adjusting the user's workout to his or her strengths and weaknesses in real-time. This helps the user get the most out of their workout and avoid injury. That’s pretty powerful.”
Mike says the Exercise Coach’s equipment records a user’s resistance training results and keeps it logged for their next workout. Whenever they come back, the machine’s video display will show previous workout results to compare their progress session by session. Mike says the equipment combined with the trainer’s expertise leads to the most efficient, safe and effective results.
“The Excercise Coach has clients who come into their studios who haven't been able to do anything fitness related for 10 years, and are able to change them completely around,” Mike says. “It can benefit anybody of any age of any physical condition.”
Exercise Coach Southlake will open November 6 at 1500 N. Kimball Ave., Suite 140. To learn more about the new studio, call 817.764.3431 or email Southlake@ExcerciseCoach.com
