A new locally-owned bookstore recently opened its doors in Grapevine.
Founded by residents Katy Lemieux and Valerie Walizadeh, Talking Animals Books is an independent bookstore located in the heart of downtown Grapevine. With its name referring to the talking animals in C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles Of Narnia,” Katy hopes her bookstore becomes a place where people can champion art, literature and creativity.
“As soon as it started rolling, everybody just started coming in,” Katy says to NBC DFW. “I just wanted a place to facilitate ideas and curiosity, more than anything.”
You can check out the bookstore now at 103 W. Worth Street. You can order books and stay connected to upcoming events at TalkingAnimalsBooks.com.
