Cool off for a good cause by heading over to the Tropical Sno of Southlake stand this summer. Black Door Renovation has partnered with the beloved sweets stop to support CEF.
If guests swing by and order the Black Door Bahama Mama, the stand’s signature Bahama Mama flavor with cream, and post a picture of their snow cone with the hashtag #SnoConesForCEF, Black Door Renovation will donate $1 to the Carroll Education Fund. Every social post can do real good for the local community.
Black Door Renovation’s owners John and Elizabeth Huffman say they are big snow cone fans and were avid patrons when the shop was open a few years ago. So after the Southlake City Council approved Tropical Sno to rejoin the local sweets community, the Huffmans saw an opportunity to not only enjoy one of their favorite Southlake treats again but also support local teachers. John says that he saw the growing excitement for Tropical Sno’s opening, especially on social media.
“We were really excited when it was coming back,” John says. “I took a snapshot of the screen when they were at council and put it on Facebook, and it was by far the most popular Facebook post I have had.”
So the Huffmans reached out to the Tropical Sno owners and found a way to give back.
“We love the work [CEF] is doing,” John says. “We love supporting Dragon teachers directly.”
Swing by to get your Black Door Bahama Mama. This opportunity will run all summer long.
