If people wanted to spend a day at Universal Studios Park in the past, they would normally have to travel all the way out to Los Angeles or Orlando. But soon enough, all they’ll need to do is drive to Frisco.
Universal Parks & Resorts announced early Wednesday that it will open its next theme park in the city of Frisco. According to a media release, the 97-acre park will include rides, shows, character meet-and-greets, food and merchandise vendors celebrating Universal’s most beloved icons. The property will also include an adjacent hotel with room for expansion.
“We are excited about the opportunity to partner with the city of Frisco as we work to bring this innovative new concept to life,” New Ventures President Page Thompson says via media release. “We think North Texas is the perfect place to launch this unique park for families given its growing popularity within this part of the country.”
While an estimated opening has not been announced, the new park will be located near the Dallas North Tollway and Panther Creek Parkway. For more information, visit UniversalParks.com.
