Sounds of China
Apex Arts League is kicking off the summer in style with its enchanting “Sounds Of China” concert.
Taking place Sunday, June 2 at Grace Chapel within White’s Chapel Methodist Church, “Sounds Of China” will showcase exquisite melodies of ancient China through traditional Chinese instruments. The renowned Huo Feng trio will play a variety of instruments including the sheng, pipa, zhongruan and erhu and will perform classical arrangements such as the Peacock Concerto, the Little Sisters Concerto, the Butterfly Lovers Concerto and the Horse Race.
"This is a show not to be missed by anyone with an interest in Chinese culture or its storied musical history," pianist Angelo Rondello says via media release. "Truly a unique blend of traditional and contemporary, 'Sounds of China' promises an unforgettable evening of cultural exploration and artistic excellence.”
