The Southlake Women's Club proudly announces Art in the Square will be held April 27-29, 2012 in Southlake Town Square. Proceeds from this annual juried art festival provide funding for deserving Northeast Tarrant County charities serving women, children, and families. Ranked #8 out of the Top 100 Arts Festivals in the U.S., this three day outdoor event features over 140 professional artists which include new artists along with returning favorites. Visitors will also enjoy a juried youth art exhibit where the winner will be entered as the representative of Congressman Marchant in the Artistic Discovery Congressional Art Contest.
Free to the public and fun for the entire family, Art in the Square offers an assortment of children's art and activities including Kid's Korner, sponsored by Cook Children's Hospital and The Zone sponsored by Children's Medical Center. Festival attendees will also enjoy an assortment of international cuisine at Le Bistro or beverages at the King and Queen Pub tent.
In addition to the ever-popular ongoing entertainment during the festival, this year's Headline Performer, on Saturday night is award-winning country star Chris Cagle. First known for writing songs for David Kersh, Cagle made his debut on the charts with his single, “My Love Goes On and On” from his debut album, Play It Loud, which also produced his number one hit “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out.”
