Bicentennial Park and Playground Opens Saturday

The City of Southlake announced at the end of August that Bicentennial Park and Playground will open this Saturday, Sept. 12 at 9 a.m. Southlake Mayor, Laura Hill will be on hand to open the new facilities.

"Attendees can enjoy all the features of the new playground which include zip lines, slides, a rope pyramid, sand castle building, water play and more! Plus, Kona Ice will be at the event offering snow cones from [10 a.m. to 2 p.m.]!" an article on MySouthlakeNews said.

The city has worked on this project since December 2013, along with Schrickel, Rollins & Associates, Inc. and Dean Construction. 

"Improvements to the park include a new playground, a Texas Rangers Miracle League Field, a 60/90 baseball field, new concession/restroom facilities, enhancements to the original baseball 4-plex, a new Park Division Office, and new trails," the article continued.
