The memory of Sarah Lacy continues to live on at the Southlake Public Library.
Last month, many of Sarah's friends and family members gathered at Southlake Town Hall to remember the late Dragon senior, who passed away in early 2020 after being struck by a vehicle. To honor her legacy, her loved ones donated over 300 fantasy and dystopian novels to the library that reflected her passion for reading.
This week, the Southlake Public Library put those titles up as part of a display titled "Books For Sarah." Each book contains a bookplate with Sarah's name on it, as well as a note of remembrance.
“We are honored to celebrate Sarah’s life and spirit by sharing her love of books and reading,” youth librarian Stacy Wells says via MySouthlakeNews.com. “She was a bright star in our community, and we want to keep her light shining.”
Sarah's books will be on display at the Southlake Public Library at 1400 Main Street until Friday, Feb. 16.
