Carroll ISDbrshowed off their new school buses last week, which were purchased as part ofbrthe 2017 Bond Program. They are equipped with new seat belts, making them compliant with Texas' new safety legislation.
The Bond Builders – CISD students selected by the district to inform the community on bond projects – loaded up on thebrbuses while sporting their green hardhats. They were the first to try out the newbrCISD vehicles on July 9. The district plans to continue rolling in these busesbrover the next five years.
Eleven new, conventional 77-passenger school buses arrivedbrin the district this month. The district also used bond dollars to purchase twobrregular 47-passenger buses, two special education buses and two flat-nosedbrtransit buses for student activities, competitions and long-distance travel. Abrsecond order for another 15 buses was approved by the School Board on Februarybr26 and will also be available for use during the 2018-2019 school year.
