Southlake honored its city employees last week during this year’s Employee Appreciation Week, celebrating them from Feb. 17 to Feb. 21.
According to MySouthlakeNews.com, the theme for this year’s Employee Appreciation Week was “There’s No Place Like Southlake,” drawing inspiration from the movie “The Wizard of Oz.”
On top of general celebrations for employees, the city also recognized individual employees across various departments for Director’s Awards. Those employees include Jennifer Tucker — Administration, Amy Bennett — Community Services, Kodi Wilder — Finance and Technology, Daniel Lyons — Fire Department, Tony Pate — Police Department, Lydia Ruiz — Public Works and Miranda Picklesimer — Planning and Development.
Southlake also awarded several employees the Southlake Value Award. Those employees include Kurt Ackermann — Accountability, Amity Robbins — Innovation, Ashley Carlisle — Teamwork, Stephanie Warren — Excellence, Junior Camacho and Jose Guzman — Spirit of Southlake and Misty Knaust — Kristin Pitzinger Customer Service Award.
