With kids around the house looking for activities during the summer months, now is a great time to clean house and get rid of toxic paints, chemicals, and other hazardous materials. The city of Southlake is offering this convenience through an ongoing partnership with Fort Worth Environmental that provides an easy way to dispose of household hazardous waste.
On Saturday, June 17, residents are once again encouraged to bring items to the Mobile Crud Cruiser at 1085 S. Kimball Ave. (Dragon Stadium) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. or until full. Entry is on the south side of the stadium. Automotive fluids, batteries, cleaners, chemicals, cooking oil, light bulbs, paint and painting supplies will all be accepted.
Bring your items and your driver’s license as proof of residency, and DPS volunteers and staff will be on hand to guide you to the appropriate lines for proper disposal.
If you would like additional information on all of the items that will be accepted for the Crud Cruiser event, please visit the Fort Worth Environmental website or contact Southlake DPS.
