As a side note to the feature on Relay for Life in our current May issue of Southlake Style, here's an update about some of the exciting activities going on throughout the night as thousands gather at Carroll High School to participate in Rachel's Rally and the Southlake 2012 Relay for Life event to raise awareness and funds to fight cancer.
Even if you aren't planning on joining a team this year make plans to come by Carroll High School to join in the fun and support this worthwhile event. A great line-up of food vendors will be set up to curb your cravings in the parking lot south of the tennis courts offering a variety of yummy choices.
The entertainment rocks throughout the evening and two of our favorite songbirds from the Carroll Class of 2007 will be a part of the festivities. From 8-9pm Camaryn Rogers will grace the stage along with her band. A Nashville resident and recording artist for Nashville's Radio Active Entertainment, Camaryn's debut single “Heir of a Kingdom” rose to #18 on Nashville's CCM charts and is currently being played across the airwaves. You can keep up with Camaryn by logging onto Camaryn Rogers.
Later in the evening, from 11-12pm enjoy the amazing
music of Daniella Mason. Also a Nashville resident, Daniella recently finished touring, performing, and promoting her latest album titled “Throw Me ‘Round The World.” Follow Daniella at Daniella Mason.
In between Camaryn and Daniella is another successful Carroll Dragon, accomplished musician Zach Hanan, a member of Event Horizon, one of the most sought after cover bands in the Metroplex. Welcome back to all of these talented Dragons.
