Known as one of the top small-town art festivals in America, Southlake's Art in the Square is set to cover Southlake Town Square with music, photography, sculptures, painting and ceramics for the 18th consecutive year. The mission is simple: offer varied cultural experiences to the community through the viewing and sale of fine art, along with quality entertainment, food and children's activities. But it's much more than that! Hosted by the Southlake Women's Club, this unifying community event raises money to support local charities while giving the town a memorable art weekend that has something for everyone. This two-and-a-half-day free event features over 150 juried artists in booths brimming in vibrant color, creativity and whimsy. Two stages will provide continuous, live music to keep the atmosphere fun and festive. Although the event is free (and so is the parking!), tickets are required for food, beverages and children's activities. When you've worked up an appetite, food trucks and Le Bistro offer almost 20 options of tantalizing fare. Hydrate as you wish—beer, wine, bellinis and margaritas, in addition to soft drinks, lemonade and smoothies are available throughout the event.
Over 600 volunteers make Art in the Square run like a well-oiled machine—facilitating everything from gatekeeping, working ticket booths, selling drinks and managing kids' events. There are opportunities for both adults and teens to participate in making this great event a success. As artists convene from all across the country to showcase their pieces, there is no better way to support your community's commitment to the art scene than to be part of Art in the Square!
