Bob Jones Park | 3901 N. White Chapel Blvd.
Sitting on a sprawling 500 acres, Bob Jones Park has everything, from multi-use walking trails and fishing ponds to soccer and softball fields. As the premier place to observe Southlake’s natural beauty, there are nearly 20 miles of hiking trails through Cross Timbers Habitat that are great for running, biking or walking. This park also offers the perfect space for family outings with playgrounds, picnic tables, pavilions and Boo Boo’s Buddies Dog Park. If you’re awed by flora and fauna, add a little spark to your stroll at the Bob Jones Nature Center & Preserve, which exhibits several species in their natural habitat.
Bicentennial Park | 450 W. Southlake Blvd.
Known as Southlake’s premier park facility, Bicentennial Park sits on the first land assembled for park purposes in the city. As one of Southlake’s largest parks, Bicentennial includes numerous playing fields and courts for baseball, softball, basketball and tennis, as well as extensive walking trails. The kids can also enjoy a fun-filled day at the park’s playground with a sand pit, splash pad, jungle gym and ferocious dragon. During the spring, soak in the fresh air at one of Bicentennial’s many fishing ponds and stop by Liberty Gardens to brighten your day with more botanical blooms than you can count.
Lonesome Dove Park | 1225 McCrae Trail
One of Southlake’s first neighborhood parks, Lonesome Dove comprises 8 captivating acres. Featuring playgrounds, pavilions, grills and picnic areas, this park is an excellent place to gather the family for some casual outdoor fun. It also serves as a great space to take some time for yourself and set your New Year intentions by strolling through a selection of trails. Listen to morning birdsong, watch the sunset and breathe in your surroundings at Lonesome Dove Park.
The Cliffs Park | Clariden Ranch Subdivision
Granted by its namesake, The Cliffs Park is arguably the most unique park in Southlake, showcasing a natural rock wall that runs alongside the park where years of sedimentary rock accumulation can be found. With several looping trails, green space and benches, this park is a fantastic place to take in all of the elements. It even has numerous pet-friendly areas for owners to spend quality time playing with their pups.
Chesapeake Park | 3150 Union Church
As one of the only parks on the southwest side of Southlake, Chesapeake Park offers a completely developed neighborhood park that is well enjoyed by local residents. Time is well spent with family and friends at Chesapeake’s walking trails, ponds and playground. The open space is also perfect for outdoor workouts like yoga, HIIT and more. And for those who live in the area, it’s all within walking distance from your home!
