Friday, Oct. 5 marks a decade of the Dragon Pink Out Game. Each year, Dragons and their fans have donned pink in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This year is no different as the festive color will abound during the game against the Denton Guyer Wildcats at 7 p.m. at Dragon Stadium. The Pink Out game aims to raise awareness of breast cancer and funds to fight it. The tradition was started by former CISD student Amy Moan in 2008. Her story is linked here:

The evening will feature an on-field recognition for breast cancer survivors prior to kickoff. Those recognized receive a free pink T-shirt. Survivors who are participating in the pregame celebration will also receive a free parking pass as well as free admission to the game.
Carroll ISD will raise money during Pink Out month by offering employees the chance to wear jeans with pink shirts every Thursday during the month of October. The funds raised from Dragon employees at all campuses and offices will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. A donation will also be taken at the game for the same nonprofit.
